About Manna

God called our founder, Buddy Bass, to start a ministry in 2006, he named “Manna on Wheels.”  Through prayers and donations Manna purchased a mobile kitchen, and began feeding the homeless in a parking lot of a local church in Brandon.  Since then, God has led us to work with several ministries to help feed the hungry and help the homeless.

In 2010, God expanded our vision as we began to focus on the needs in East Hillsborough County. We began a food box ministry, which allowed us to serve local churches and empower them to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the families in need.  We also began providing food donations on a weekly basis to 2 local Children’s Homes and 5 local homes for men and women who are handicap or mentally impaired.

Throughout 2015, we partnered up with 23 different ministries and worked closely with 24 donors to distribute 120,580 lbs. of food.  However, most importantly we were part of 218 decisions to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  To God be the glory!

During the last couple of years, God has blessed us immensely with a new storage facility, and a new walk-in freezer, which will help us preserve perishable food.

"... my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.   Phillipians 4:19
